A word of encouragement to our children
Obey your parents, love yourself and fear God. Have self-esteem, take care of your body and take care of your environment. Be independent, speak the truth and be honest. Keep God first in your life and He will help you with whatever you are going through.
Choose your friends wisely. Love your neighbor as yourself. Find a skill and do something to better your life. The things that make you unhappy, speak about them. Find someone to talk to because if you don’t you might be sorry. Young people, you are important.
I have made mistakes; your parents have made the same mistakes. You must try not to let the same thing happen to you. Hold your head up high, aim for the sky. Tell yourself that you can make it; if you put your shoulder to the wheel you will make it. Don’t tell yourself that you can’t, tell yourself “I can make it”.
If you fail, don’t stay down, brush yourself off and go again in the name of Jesus and He will pilot the way for you. Remember the spider tried six times and failed but made it the seventh time. Remember, if you don’t get through the first time, try and try and try again until your good is better and your better best.
Make sure you take care of your body for your body is the temple of the living God. Whatever you do put God first because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Do not go with strangers, don’t take gifts from someone you don’t know, they may take you away. Please be careful in your walking, walk in groups.
Don’t you ever make pretty things lead you astray. You must be satisfied with what you have. I am pained to see what is happening to our children today. Too many of our children are left unprotected. Parents, you must take care of your children, they need your help to be safe; they cannot do it on their own. Remember, someone was there for us, so someone has to be there for them to instruct them.
I close with God’s blessing upon you all.
